ParentsWork/Chicago

Hey, thanks to Kim at Hormone Colored Days for emailing me about ParentsWork, a Chicago-based, new organization for parents--fathers and mothers both--to advocate for better policies so it's easier to care for our kids. Go check it out, and I'll be looking forward to learning more over the next few days. Thanks Kim!

In future posts, look for a big thank you and shout out to Rebel Dad, and my belated (where does the time go?) participation in the Literary Mama anthology virtual book tour.

Miriam, today a friend said that your book got a mention in O!, Oprah's magazine. I thought I surely would have heard such exciting news and then tonight on amazon stumbled onto this new book called...(can you believe it?) The Mommy Wars The good news is that your book shows up on the "people who bought this" list, and your sales seem to have gotten a boost. Am I the last one to know about this? From the description, the book sounds better than the title, as usual.

How wonderful to see that word of our work is spreading through the blogosphere. Thanks so much for mentioning us, Miriam (and to Kim for helping get the word out). We'll definitely keep you posted on our progress and, in the meantime, hope you'll check out our Web site (still in development) and first blog entry. Looking forward to staying in touch.

Best Regards,
